Simple present tense

We do we use simple present tense?

ð  We use it for showing :

1.     General thing and something wich happens all the time

Ex: our school library opens at 8 am

                     It               V1+s/es

      All of the students wear white and blue uniform on Monday

                                     V1- I, you,they,we (more than 1 person)

2.    To show habitual action

Ex : - I always drink a glass of milk in the morning

       - we study English every Tuesday and Friday

       -Mr. and Mrs. Ahmad arrive home in the evening

3.    To show something that is always

True (factual truth) => kenyataan

Ex : - the sun sets in the west

       - May likes singing

       - vegetarian eats vegetables and fruit

ð  The form of simple present tense

(+) Subject + V1 + Object -> they go to School

     For subject : he, she, it -> add –es after V1

(-) Subject + do/does + not + V1 + Object

(?) do/does + Subject + V1 + Object

     Do -> I, you, they, we

     Does -> he, she, it

v  Example of negative form

-      Our School library doesn’t open at 8 am

-      We don’t study English on Tuesday and Friday

-      Al-Qur’an doesn’t give us bad things

v  Example of interrogative form

-      Does our School library open at 8 am?

-      Do they wear uniform to go to school?

-      Do we study English on Tuesday and Friday?

-      Do you read Qur’an every day?

§  The using of suffix –es

Penggunaan akhiran

1.     For the words wich have final letter –s-

Ex : pass -> passes

2.    For the words wich have final letter –ch-

Ex : watch -> watches

       Catch -> catches

3.    For the words wich have final letter –sh-

Ex : wash -> washes

4.    For the words wich have final letter –o-

Ex : go -> goes

5.    For the words wich have final letter –y-, letter –y-, is changed by –i- and add by –es-

Ex : fly -> flies

       Study -> studies

6.    For the words wich have final letter –e-, just add –s-

Ex : see -> sees

       Shine -> shines

       Serve -> serves
